After-Hours Medical Care When you have urgent medical needs and your doctor’s office is closed, After-Hours Medical Care is a convenient, cost-effective way to receive care without a visit to the emergency room.After-Hours Medical Care provides a broad spectrum of care by family medicine specialists who are trained to diagnose and treat a wide variety of ailments in patients of all ages. Open evenings and weekends, walk-ins are welcome. After-Hours Medical Care does not replace your primary care physician and does not offer physical exams or routine medical care. Also, it’s not an emergency facility that treats life-threatening conditions. It does provide care for a variety of conditions, though, including upper respiratory infections, flu, sprains, simple fractures, lacerations, urinary tract infections, and many others. Staff includes registered nurses, X-ray technologists, and physicians. The primary physician provider is Kiernan Smith, MD, a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Smith received his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland. His internship took place in Asheville, North Carolina, and his residency was completed at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. When Dr. Smith isn’t working, other family medicine specialists on the Aspen Valley Hospital medical staff provide services. Take the first left (Cody Lane) and go 0.1 mile. The facility is located on the left side of the road across from High Tone Auto Body.
