ASPEN VALLEY HOSPITAL offers a number of specialty clinics each month. These clinics allow patients to receive specialty care—evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment—right here in Aspen. The following specialty services are offered on a regular basis at Aspen Valley Hospital:   

• ALLERGY/PULMONARY. Drs. Gary Cott and Richard Weber come from National Jewish Hospital in Denver for regular clinics in Aspen.  Appointments can be made by calling 1-888-797-0627.

• CARDIOLOGY. Dr. Gordon Gerson is board-certified in internal medicine, with a subspecialty in cardiology. He sees patients through his clinic at AVH. Appointments can be made with Dr. Gerson by calling (970) 544-7388.

• GASTROENTEROLOGY. Dr. Gerard Tomasso, a board-certified internist and gastroenterologist, provides gastroenterology services on a monthly basis. In addition to this clinic, he performs colonoscopies, endoscopies, and flexible sigmoidoscopies at AVH. General surgeons Dr. William Rodman and Dr. John Schultz, also performs these procedures through AVH's gastroenterology service. • NEUROLOGY. Board-certified neurologist Dr. Scott Emery conducts neurology clinics in the Nancy Davis Neurodiagnostic Lab at AVH monthly. Appointments can be made with Dr. Emery by calling (970) 928-0102.

• ONCOLOGY. Dr. Douglas Rovira, board-certified in internal medicine with a medical oncology subspecialty, travels to Aspen from Denver on a monthly basis to administer the oncology program to local cancer patients. Oncology appointments can be made with Dr. Rovira by calling (970) 544-1391.  Dr. Ira Jaffrey, board-certified in internal medicine with a medical oncology subspecialty, also offers oncology services in the Aspen area. He can be reached by calling (970) 384-2274.  Both are faculty members of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver.

• PAIN MANAGEMENT. Dr. Giora Hahn is a board-certified anesthesiologist who completed a fellowship in pain management. He consults with patients with acute and chronic pain and utilizes a variety of methods to alleviate pain. For an appointment with Dr. Hahn, call (970) 544-1391.

• RHEUMATOLOGY.  Dr. Aryeh Fischer is also on staff at National Jewish Hospital in Denver.  He sees patients in Aspen on a monthly basis.  Appointments can be made by calling 1-888-797-0627.
